Recruitment in Rajasthan Public Service Commission 2018 – Rajasthan Public Service Commission has invited applications from eligible and desirable candidates for various posts for state and subordinate services. There are total 980 vacancies to be filled through RAS/RTS Combined Competitive Exam 2018 on Direct Recruitment Basis. Application form must be submitted Online in prescribed format. Educational Qualification : Must hold a Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature or declared to be deemed as University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or posses an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government in consultation with the Commission.

Age Limit : Lower & Upper age limit is 21 to 40 years as on 01.01.2019

Pay Scale : As per Rules

Application Fee :

  • General/OBC candidates – Rs.350/-
  • OBC (Non Creamy Layer)candidates – Rs.250/-
  • SC/ST/PH candidates – Rs.150/-

Selection Procedure : Selection will be made through Written Exam (Preliminary Exam & Main Exam) and Interview.

Exam Pattern : The Combined Competitive Examination will be held in two successive stages -(i) Preliminary Examination and (ii) Main Examination.

(i) Preliminary examination :
The Preliminary Examination will consist of one paper on the subject i.e. General Knowledge & General Science, which will be of objective type and carry a maximum of 200 marks in total time duration of 3 hours. The examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The Standard of the paper will be that of a Bachelor’s Degree Level. The marks obtained in the Preliminar y Examination by the candidates, who are declared qualified for admission to Main Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.
(ii) Main examination:
(a) The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Examination will be 15 times the total approximate number of vacancies (category wise) to be filled in the year in the various Services and posts, but in the said range all those candidates who secure the same percentage of marks as may be fixed by the Commission for any lower range will be admitted to the Main Examination.
(b) The written examination will consist of the following four papers which will be descriptive/analytical. A candidate must take all the papers listed below which will also consist of question paper of brief, medium, long answer and descriptive type questions. The standard of General Hindi and General English will be that of Sr. Secondary level. The time allowed for each paper shall be 3 hours.
